Last day of 2006

Dinner @ Bluewater
Originally uploaded by ntt.
Well, its the 31st of December! What a year... my career was officially on hold, gave birth to my precious boy and became a full time mum, was a BSF leader briefly, picked up knitting, Sudoku and baking, my hubby turned 30 and recently I turned 29 on the 29th! Overall looking back, it has been an amazingly blessed year. Praise God for the things that really matter.... an awesome husband, a loving family and His never failing grace and mercy on me.

Happy bubby

Happy Bubby
Its Friday - woohoo! The funny thing is I have to wake up at 6am on Saturdays for BSF which is the earliest I have to wake up all week. Its been an awesome learning experience though and so worth getting up that early. This coming Tuesday will be the first time I will actually be leading my group - can't wait!
So this week Ryan got his 4 month jab and he took it like a man, ok little man. He only cried for a second and then yawned a minute later! How great is that?!! Praise God! What a little angel...

Fatty Boom Boom

Fatty Boom Boom

Ryan and I visited the child health nurse today. It looks like all is good and Ryan is travelling along nicely. He was weighed and he's a hefty 8.0kilos which is in the 97th percentile for babies his age... wowzas! If there ever was a fatty boom boom, he is definitely one!

Yay for turning 30! (not me of course)

chicken lips
It was my hubby's birthday and party on Sunday - Happy 30th birthday Nick! The party went off without a hitch - a huge thanks to my family for helping me organise it. And thank you Lord for the awesome sunny weather you turned on for us! It was an answer to prayer.
And it wouldn't be a blog post without mentioning something about my boy... as you may already know, he is a heavy heavy boy for one his age. This has been further confirmed today when I bought 'Crawler' size nappies and he is not even close to crawling...

Mums and Bubs

Ryan and I went to the movies today with Julia and her bub Elliot and Naomi and her bub Emily. Ryan didnt think much of the movie and wasnt keen on watching it but I thought it was pretty decent. Overall though we had fun and its something we'll probably do more often.

On a different note, I will be a BSF discussion leader for September. I am both excited and apprehensive about it but I believe that God will equip me for the role and trust that it will go smoothly. And as we learnt in BSF recently, God doesnt call us to do something for Him that we can achieve in our own strength!

and oh, isnt my bub cute?

Must Stop Brain From Going Mushy

Its the end of another week and a fairly uneventful one at that, which is not a bad thing. I've decided to do crossword puzzles to keep my brain from going mushy and even learned the rules of Soduku. Looks like I need to get more New Idea and Womens Weekly mags for those puzzles!

Full day

Today was a very full but definitely blessed day. Being the weekend, my husband was home all day which is absolutely awesome in and of itself. As a bonus though, I also went to a pump class (my second since Ryan) and in the arvo, had some friends over which was a lot of fun. And whats more, my hubby really outdid himself and made these delicious cinnamon rolls... what an achievement! Thank you Lord for this day and for the wonderful blessings in my life.

Sleeping!

My little angel is sleeping right now. Hallelujah! Ryan has not been sleeping well during the day for the last few days. We've even bought a CD which has womb noises and vacumm cleaning sounds to try to put him to sleep! I tested it today and it definitely calmed him down! Amazing! Who woulda thought womb noises on CD would actually work?!!

Lots of Schtuff!

Well... lots of schtuff has happened since my last blog entry... I guess you would expect that after months of not posting one! I'm gonna try to update my blog more regularly but be warned, I may fail miserably.

So its Saturday 1 July 06 which means the start of a new financial year. This used to matter to me in my old job but now that I've got myself a new job of being a full time mum, this somehow doesn't mean so much anymore. What seems to matter these days is whether Ryan is sleeping, why he is crying, when his next feed is and spending time with my husband. Ok that is rather simplified but its almost true!
