Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is an American holiday and tradition, but there's no reason for us not to take the opportunity to give thanks. Thank you Lord for your sacrifice and gift of eternal life. Thank you for all the rich blessings in my life. Thank you for family and friends, thank you for your protection and provision, thank you for the baby you knitted in my womb. In the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.

The hunt for Soba is over
Going to Ohnamiya on a Friday night has been a family tradition at the Takayama household. For months, Nick has completely shunned another nearby Jap place called Nishi. Well tonight the shun is over. A hankering for soba noodles finally got Nick and I to Nishi tonight. He had zaru soba (although they called it 'cold soba') and I had Bul Go Gi. Overall it was a nice change from Ohnamiya. And the bonus was that the tea was also free and there were mags to read!

No Husband
Tonight was one of those rare times my husband and I spent our Saturday nite apart. He's gone to play XBox and I hung out with Em, an old bud from high school. We talked lots about different schtuff, including our health and even more about makeup. It was quite a girly night and heaps of fun. Its awesome that God made us to have companionship, friendship and fellowship to share our journeys. Thank you Lord for my sisters in Christ, and I especially think of Em right now. Amen.

Aik and Zan's Wedding
What a special day! Our great friends Aik and Zan finally tied the knot and God turned on the best weather for them... The ceremony was truly beautiful and the reception was awesome. They looked radiant and were absolutely beeming. Our prayer for them is that they will keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, Amen. Also a very happy birthday to Sam and Katrina - God Bless you both richly!

PSP
My geek husband was the 7th person in EB yesterday to get his PSP. After seeing the world's craze on PSP, it was rather anti-climactic for me.... I would have preferred to jostle and elbow the next person in a crowd to get to my PSP :P
So its a schweet little hand held thingo. We have been playing Everybody's Golf which has been heaps fun.
Thank you Lord for providing for everything in our lives, Glory be to you!

Virgin Blogger
This is my first ever blog... ever... so I am officially not a virgin blogger anymore... w00t!
Today was quite a day. My friend Aik had her bridal shower today, and coincidentally (not!) her man Zan had his buck's today. Us girls went bowling and then dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Even though Aik was sick, she was a real good sport about all the challengers and punishments she had to do... on ya Aik!
Praise God for a great day and for Aik and Zan's upcoming wedding!
